Butler County is seeking individuals interested in serving on the Mental Health Board. This board appointment is not a paid position on the board. It is a voluntary type appointment. Please do not apply for this position if you cannot attend the board meetings. The board term is for 6 years. The board meets at the South Central Alabama Mental Health Center in Andalusia on the 4th Thursday in the month at 11:30 a.m. The meeting lasts approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The members are served lunch.

The Butler County Commission will meet again on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at 5:15 p.m. to discuss this matter. The new date and time of the Butler County Commission will now be as follows: The Commission Workshop and the Regular Monthly Meeting will now be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:15 p.m. and the Regular Monthly Commission Meeting will begin after the conclusion of the Workshop at approximately 6:00 p.m.
